At Bathrooms by Elite, we often hear the question: “Do we need to use the same tiles throughout all spaces?” The answer, as beautifully demonstrated by our Victoria Ave project, is a resounding no. This ambitious project, the largest we’ve undertaken to date, showcases how a thoughtful variety of tiles can create distinct, yet harmonious, looks in each area of a home.
The Victoria Ave home was an exciting challenge, featuring five bathrooms, a living space, and a study—all in need of transformation. The original spaces were outdated, with designs that didn’t reflect the homeowners’ modern tastes or their desire for a cohesive yet individualized aesthetic. Our goal was to turn these spaces into timeless, modern additions that would not only enhance the functionality of the home but also elevate its overall style.
To achieve this, we collaborated closely with our trusted partners. Most of the tiles were sourced from Tile Depot, whose extensive range provided us with the perfect options for each space. The versatility of their collection allowed us to create distinct looks tailored to the unique needs and personalities of each room.
The ensuite was transformed into a spacious and inviting retreat. We used a neutral colour palette, complemented by wooden textures and fluted glass, to create a serene environment that offers both luxury and comfort. This space now serves as a peaceful escape, blending modern design with timeless elegance.
In contrast, the children’s bathroom became a playful, creative environment. Playful green tiles (from Jacobsen) added a burst of colour and fun, making the bathroom uniquely theirs complimenting the neutral tiles from tile depot. It’s a space that encourages imagination and play while still being practical and easy to maintain.
The guest powder room presented a different challenge. Here, we focused on creating a soft yet practical space, with a design that is both stylish and easy to care for. The compact size of the room was turned into an advantage, making it an intimate and welcoming space for guests.
Each area of the Victoria Ave project was carefully crafted to meet the unique needs of the homeowners while maintaining a cohesive design throughout the house. The result is a home where every space has its own personality, yet all rooms come together to create a unified and elegant atmosphere.
